THE “game”

[The \"Great\" Game] has been afoot for a long time. As we view the horrendous images of soldiers AND children losing their lives on the streets of [Kabul],Afghanistan we Americans have NO inkling, ( due to political manipulatings of “EDUCATION”.), of just how long and intense the GREED of this world has continuously reformulated their need to have, even when they DON’T OWN the sought items.

Since, (approximately.), the 1850’s the term MIDDLE EAST has been used to describe an area that has such great influence over the peoples of the world that the three most practiced religions , Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, bloomed from that region’s thoughts. The area has also given the world some of its most enduring modes of accomplishing progress, (Algebra was known to the Babylonians over 4000 years ago. “Enhanced” by Charles Boole [Computer\'s algorithm= Artificial Intellience]. Used to get Neil Armstrong on the Moon.), throughout history.

As we have arrived at this moment in history, and “progression”, the influences of the game’s players have, again begun a new [renting/ rending] of the ancient rights and privileges of this influential region of peoples. As we Americans view our digitally dis -informed idiot cubes we should,( FINALLY), begin to learn about this WORLD, and our FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS. And let those who’d deliver FALSE INFORMATION be driven from their position of delivery. It actually takes LESS than a MILE to understand a LESSON, when the lesson learned has so many shards STILL IN THE SHOE.

The “GAME” has been set before us in many forms, but the most important form is the one that we’ve blindly, willingly been ‘PLAYED’ throughout our, our ancsestors’, and progeny’s LIVES. The game… we should have been told the correct set of rules, and have that set be for ALL “PLAYING”.

Have you EVER felt that those we’ve “ELECTED” are constantly SHAVING POINTS !?!

They Just Couldn’t Be … *BUFFALOED, Forever

As I “newsed” myself into the conscious today I came across this piece of retribution. It tells of how the rules and regulations of a “time” are often the fears and cronyism(s) of pseudo-Oligarchs. (I hope that the “executive” committee of my FORMER union may find the chance to read this and LEARN SOMETHING.) The problem of a lot of our rules/ policies that are/ have been ENACTED is that they were put into play because those that we gave “powers” to worked the “problem” from after the water had seeped through the barrier. Not heeding the proofs that the inclusion of, “seemingly”, unusable, (read:” UNDESIRABLE”.), “bonding” catalysts SHOULD be allowed. Therefore as “time” has moved FORWARD and rules have not allowed for the ‘growth’ of improvements. The sad part of all this is that the many adversely affected by fear’s rules will most often become the “AFFECT(OR)” at some later time… like NOW.

This terse is about sport, Games of COORDINATIONS and ORGANIZATIONS, and how “rules” are generally made to protect some from having to increase their abilities. The cry [ \"Let THEM Play\"] is often heard when “adults” feel embarrassed when the child of their concern has a game’s situation go against that child and they want a favorable outcome for their ward. This seems to last many lifetimes.

Half Century Later, Buffalo’s Courage Finally Rewarded

Posted Sep 20, 2009 12:37AM By David Whitley (RSS feed)

Willie Evans and Buffalo Bulls
ORLANDO — The longest bowl trip in college football history closed Saturday night when Buffalo took the field.

The players ambled out to midfield. One of them needed a cane. The rest just needed hair dye to look like they did when the bowl bid arrived.

It was 1958, and the Bulls promptly rejected it. They could have come to Orlando, but their African-American players would not have been allowed on the field.

Fifty-one years later, they were given a standing ovation.

“It was a chance to right a wrong,” Gerry Gergley said.

He was one of 34 players who finally got their trip to Florida. By now you’ve probably heard the story of that team. It never gets old because you can learn something valuable every time the old Bulls get together.

“It wasn’t anything we planned,” said Willie Evans, one of the two African-Americans on that team. “For it to reverberate 50 years later, that’s a long time.”

What reverberated with me was how society has progressed in the last half century, but how our sports culture has gone in reverse.

Nobody at the UCF game was involved with the 1958 Tangerine Bowl. Yet everybody felt they owed Buffalo an apology.

When they heard the present-day Bulls were playing at Bright House Stadium, local government and civic leaders arranged free airfare, hotel rooms and a reception for the ex-players. In a way, the old guys were lucky their trip took so long.

In 1958, there was no Disney World to visit. The bowl activities probably consisted of a cookout and a trip to a cross burning.

Willie EvansEvans (pictured right) grew up in Buffalo and had heard about things like Whites-Only drinking fountains. He never knew his skin color would cost his team a holiday vacation.

“I didn’t know the ugly finger stretched into athletics to the extent it did,” he said.

Orlando’s school district operated the stadium where the Tangerine Bowl was played, and it banned integrated games. Nobody in Buffalo realized that when they got the bid. They were just pumped to have gone 8-1 and won the Lambert Cup.

That went to the top small college program in the East. It may not sound like a big deal now, but it warranted an appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show back then. Team captains Nicholas Bottini and Louis Reale accepted the trophy on national TV.

Everybody looked forward to getting out of frigid Buffalo and playing Florida State in far-off Orlando. Then the team was informed of the Tangerine Bowl’s policy. It held a vote whether to accept the bid.

“There wasn’t really a vote,” Gergley said. “We had no choice. We had to do what was right. Besides, Willie was our leading rusher and scorer.”

You wouldn’t know it by talking to him. Evans is 71 now, though he’s the one guy who looks as if he could still play. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills after college and is in five athletic halls of fame.

“That’s not the kind of thing you brag about,” he said, “and I hope you don’t spend much time on it.”

Imagine that, an athlete asking a writer to go easy on the praise.

“It’s not modesty,” Evans said. “It’s how I feel about it.”

It’s a feeling we could use more of in this chest-beating era. Maybe it’s a generational thing, but the old Bulls love to talk about each other, not themselves. They were a team that did everything together.

If Evans and Mike Wilson weren’t going to Orlando, nobody was going. What’s more, if anybody has a right to scream about being victims of racism, it would be the 34 men in navy blue shirts Saturday night.

There wasn’t hint of bitterness in the section where they sat. Sure, they were mad young men 50 years ago. But after they told the Tangerine Bowl what it could do with its bid, they moved on.

“You can’t hold on to anything like that,” Evans said.

These days, people can’t let go of the race card. The ugly finger Evans spoke of is still there. But the point gets lost when players like Milton Bradley interpret fan animosity as racial persecution.

Or Sammy Sosa’s bat explodes with cork and he blames the ensuing scrutiny on the fact he’s Hispanic. Or Torii Hunter says Barry Bonds was reviled because he’s African-American. Or Michael Vick is considered the victim instead of his dogs.

If only these modern-day martyrs could have spent a December holiday in Buffalo instead of Orlando 50 years ago, they would appreciate what real racism is. The Bulls took a stand against it, even if they didn’t realize what a grand one it was.

“It’s just something that happened,” Robert Muscarella said. “We made a decision and never really thought about it.”

Nobody really did until the Buffalo got the first bowl bid in school history last year to the International Bowl in Toronto. Then people started realizing it was actually the second.

“Now the story’s been told hundreds of times,” Stanley Kowalski said.

Only now it’s been told in a place where it all began. And it finally has a happy ending.

Curtain Designers

At the ending of 2008,when the Presidential election’s candidates were standing before us, on any given dais, the various entities of the ‘union’ of “Town CRYERS” would bring us their contracted view of what had taken place. Unbeknownst to most Americans was the fact that since SOMEBODY OWNED said businesses that there JUST may be a tad of personal influence basted upon the words and visuals presented to “the masses” at the any given moment of each day.

When was the last news cast that you can recall that soaring, Pulitzer ready, uber ‘caster [Liz Trotta]? Have you noticed that Fox “News”has moved itself even further into the influencing of… [

...the American middle-class. Or what those who held their view through the Looking Glass, instead of remembering their acquaintance Matthew's group of lessons/ "lessens",(Matthew 7:24-26). It's interesting to watch so many people stand at the shores of their next disaster, still [kissing the hand] of the same salesperson that provided them that “waterfront” view. ( See Matthew, above.)

But, MOST of ALL, the world is watching the “children of Kansas”, in their VERY DAZED STATE/ NATION, as they have ridden the “house” they’d “known” for their ENTIRE LIVES into this surreal new place. So now they’ve come upon these wonderous men “of great knowledge”, to lead them back to where “it’s comfortable, ” not realizing that all those [assorted \"TASKS\"] they’ve been running were for someone who only wanted to see IF the fabrics chosen for THEIR “utility room” will hide their inattentions.

Beware Stories Told ‘Round the Circle

Remember the lesson of LISTENING and WAITING to get the story right when you were in ELEMENTARY school ?

... besides OTHER problems of sharing ?

... besides "OTHER" problems of sharing ?

It “seems” that the ‘ Most MOST Trusted Name in News added a tad of pure [Sodium] to, both, the Potomac River and the President’s 9/11 observances Friday morning. (Mourning for the “editorial” staff management !)

The problem, mis-management/ -communications really WASN’T their FAULT… it WAS with a SECOND of our nation’s “organized group of protectors’ leadership, the COASTGUARD, ( Remember that “THRILLING” Air Force [ONE] photo-op (?) that makes George Bush walking into a door quite BENIGN.), who decided to INCLUDE THE SIMULATED AURAL PUNCTUATIONS OF GUNFIRE !!!

Ladies and gentlemen of America you cannot be THIS STUPID,IGNORANT, DENSE OR OBTUSE while “governing” over 300,000,000 people ! SOMEBODY IS CRYING WOLF. And if we laugh at these govern-MENTAL punch and Judy shows without checking the puppeteers we might find that the show was being held while our homes were being ransacked,(the “mortgage “crisis”.) and “they’ve” stolen our “crops”, (Gotta’ JOB ?). Nobody’s going to be/ get HEALTHY at this rate.

I’m not of the “Beck” School of Adnausium, but even a stopped clock is RIGHT TWICE a day.

There’s just one more thought… have you noticed that modern “Hunters” often set up their PREY by getting them USED to the hunters being there !?!

There Is STILL a HOLE in the Bucket…

… And [these] [\"folks\"] are trying to fill said bucket by FINING someone who CAN’T afford it in the FIRST PLACE! The [ TWO-HUNDRED ONE MILLION] examples given by “Google-ing” about says it when the “BUCKET” is so big that those “in-charge” won’t even try to find a MORE MANAGEABLE tool for the job. And the sad part of it all is that the “two” opposing factions, ( actually’ fact’ shy.), really don’t CARE because it would give EVERY AMERICAN the SAME [health care plan] as they have… and [DON\'T want to] provide to the “COMMON” citizen. It’s time to WAKE UP folks, we’re going to HAVE to PAY, ONE WAY or ANOTHER. Politicians already have their future health needs in place. The ONLY other thing they need is …to PROLONG IT !!! The “Congressional Health Plan” is described as…

“They don’t receive “[\'Cadillac\'] insurance plans, but when it comes to health benefits, studies suggest members of Congress are at least driving the best Buicks on the block.”

…SO, those that should be doing SOMETHING OF the People, instead of B(u)Y the PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE. So that they should not BEAR this before they become EARTH.

Our politicians could net, (killing is what they seem to be ‘AIMING’ for.) two birds with that stone by manufacturing small buckets… giving folks a job and making so they can get some CARE for their HEALTH concerns.

There’s a HOLE in the BUCKET…

The “PRINCE” of ‘CHANGE’ has been “at it” for more than 100 days. So far he’s done quite a few things that he’s ‘PROMISED’. Now I’m somewhat at a loss as to the positives, since the “news” agencies tend to HONE their views on the GRATING, DEGRADING, UNGRATEFUL, AND GRATUITOUS that have made themselves the most notible/ notorious. Oh… there has been a “SUPREME” satisfaction with Sonya Sotomayor, and we just MAY be able to get from here to there without trading in our offspring.

Now that the bullies of the child of the bully pulpit champion are freeing themselves of the well ‘OILED’ regime there seems to be not much difference , except by the “DRUM-MAJOR”. In that this situation that we’re ALL going through has prodded me to express my ‘ANGER’ and ‘DISAPPOINTMENT’ LIKE THIS.

Imagine ANY ONE of the “major” players of the “GOVERNING” body taking their place on a stage that makes them tell the truth through song. As my example for this exercise’s inspiration I begin with this folk song because we’re all just FOLKS.

I’m all too happy that the visuals can be so easily replaced. I put President Obama and Nancy Palosi together for their admission about just HOW bad this nation’s monetary situation has become. I’m including the lyrics so that you can make your own mental “video”. Have fun and NO TEARS, Because …

There’s a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza,
There’s a hole in the bucket, dear Liza,
There’s a hole.

Then fix it dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Then fix it dear Henry, dear Henry, fix it.

With what should I fix it, dear Liza, dear Liza,
With what should I fix it, dear Liza, with what?

With a straw, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
With a straw, dear Henry, dear Henry, with a straw.

But the straw is too long, dear Liza, dear Liza,
The straw is too long, dear Liza, too long.

Then cut it dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Then cut it dear Henry, dear Henry, cut it!

With what shall I cut it, dear Liza, dear Liza,
With what shall I cut it, dear Liza, with what?

With an ax, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
With an ax, dear Henry, an ax.

But the ax is too dull, dear Liza, dear Liza,
The ax is too dull, dear Liza, too dull.

Then, sharpen it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Then sharpen it dear Henry, dear Henry, sharpen it!

With what should I sharpen it, dear Liza, dear Liza,
With what should I sharpen, dear Liza, with what?

With a stone, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
With a stone, dear Henry, dear Henry, a stone.

But the stone is too dry, dear Liza, dear Liza,
The stone is too dry, dear Liza, too dry.

Then wet it, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
Then wet it dear Henry, dear Henry, wet it.

With what should I wet it, dear Liza, dear Liza,
With what should I wet it, dear Liza, with what?

With water, dear Henry, dear Henry, dear Henry,
With water, dear Henry, dear Henry, with water.

But how shall I get it?, dear Liza, dear Liza,
But how shall I get it?, dear Liza, with what?

Row over US Bollywood ‘detention’

Shah Rukh Khan, 11 Aug 2009

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has appeared in more than 70 films

India has asked the US to explain why a leading Bollywood film star was allegedly detained for two hours at Newark airport, which serves New York.

Shah Rukh Khan, who was released after India’s embassy in the US intervened, said he felt angry and humiliated.

The actor, who is promoting a film on racial profiling, said he was stopped because he had a Muslim name.

But US customs officials denied that Mr Khan had been detained, saying he was questioned for 66 minutes.

Elmer Camacho, a spokesman for the US Bureau of Customs and Border Protection, said the questioning was part of the agency’s routine process to screen foreign travellers, the Associated Press news agency reports.

Check list

The US ambassador to India, Timothy Roehmer, said the embassy was looking into Mr Khan’s case.

Speaking in Delhi, Mr Roehmer said: “Shah Rukh Khan, the actor and global icon, is a very welcome guest in the United States. Many Americans love his films.”

He said the embassy was trying to “ascertain the facts of the case – to understand what took place”.

Mr Khan, 44, earlier told the Press Trust of India news agency he had been detained by immigration officials at Newark airport because his name came up on a computer check list.

He told the agency that he had been released after he was allowed to message a politician in India, who contacted the Indian embassy in Washington on his behalf.

Mr Khan was on his way from New York to Chicago to attend an Indian independence day celebration when he was stopped at Newark airport in the state of New Jersey.

Mr Khan later tried to play down the incident.

When asked about it while attending the Chicago celebration, he said: “I think it’s a procedure that needs to be followed, but an unfortunate procedure.”

The news was widely reported by Indian media outlets.

Mr Khan has appeared in more than 70 films and is considered one of India’s most recognisable and popular celebrities.

Last month, America’s Continental Airlines apologised to APJ Abdul Kalam amid outrage in India when it emerged that the former Indian president had been frisked and made to remove his shoes at Delhi airport in April.

The airline said in a statement that it had not intended to offend Mr Kalam or the sentiments of the people of India.

This has been a BBC News “Up” date.

If we keep this up we won’t have to be cautious… nobody will want to go through this so they won’t come.

One day later: August, (How APPROPRIATE !), 16/ 2009. Do you think that Bill Clinton might salvage [THIS situation]? The word ‘enflummox’ is now ENFLAMED.

It’s Time For a Reality Check

This is the opening sentence received from Mr. Obama’s Senior Advisor, David Axlerod. If you have an email account the White House may have sent you this “hyp-ra-bol” of our latest scheduled fleecing. It’s only ‘fair’, (If it were ANY good they’d call it a “Great”.) There’s nothing that lets you know that you’re “IMPORTANT than having a computer regurgitate your name for the proverbial “gallup” through the numbers. It shouldn’t surprise me since I had just sent Mr. Oabma and Dr. James Curran, (of Emory University.), former CDC head of HIV/AIDS , an introductory letter about an item I’ve been attempting to produce to HELP FUND RESEARCH and TREATMENT for diseases like CANCER(S), SUBSTANCE ABUSE(S), and HIV/AIDS. ALL “heavy hitters” in the realm of ‘HEALTH’ and whether administrations seriously do ‘CARE’ about the lives of THIS and OTHER nations.

Is this the “DARK KNIGHT’S ” answer to the INTERNATIONAL search-light he’d spotted from those steamy Chicago avenues? CAN this be the echoed ‘CRIES’ (of) “The Beloved Country”? KEN-YA hear it? Whether you want to, (or can.), “LIVE”-strong is up to how much support you’ll give to the glitter of sweat when it’s packaged so well… and has just enough “natural” lighting for the assured 3D depth of PISNEY/ DIXAR artistry.

Is it really so hard for this “EDUCATED MAN” to pull a Siddhartha-esque moment and sit with those who offer him the fruits of THEIR garden of learning. The grove of ” SIMPLE, AND EFFECTIVE” dropping knowledge’s sustenance’s so close that just holding out one’s hand makes “HUNGER” a past tense.

The “REALITY Checks”, how many more does this Man’s “advisors” believe we have available before the REAL ‘ACCOUNTING’ lifts U(.)S(.) from the ability to receive a true “PAYABLES” draft, in any form, ?

Even though I won’t “Steele” for a living I am in search of my African heritage by extending my “MEMORY” by turning “HANNIBALISTIC”, because there AIN’T no mountain high enough… (For my thoughts) to keep me from gettin’ to you.

If Mr. Obama is seriously looking for a reality here’s a smidge. 1.) the world Cup of Football will be played in South Africa, one of the highest per capita places for HIV/AIDS, AND authorities want to LEGALIZE PROSTITUTION to “show hospitality” to the incoming visitors. Who is going to write the checks for THAT ! 2.) Advertising for the sale of DRUGS is making Timothy Leary and Abby Hoffman heroes of the mother’s little helper faction.

The funny thing is that I’ve “spent”three days at hospital, of those three days my billing will, most likely, remove $2,700.00, (AFTER DEDUCTIBLES @ 80/20.). If there was still a studio 54 slot I would STILL be able to “DANCE” for five extra days.

The reality check that I’d like to fill is the one where I can really do/ PROVIDE something that the world can use … I DO, but things are happening too fast for some folk, and those who are supposed to help are confusing the situation just enough that responsible people won’t feel it when it touches them.

And for Grant Hospital/ Columbus, Ohio’s Abbie and Rhia: You ARE BLESSED.

Mr. President, as of Friday August 7, 2009 my health decided that I couldn’t be an EMPLOYED stagehand anymore, there’s more to health “care” than a CHECK, the currency also involves IF an employer cares after the hospital’s concerted efforts.
